This Winter is Starting off Nasty!

I guess the point I'm trying to make is, if most people don't feel comfortable enough to post (for whatever reason), and the few regulars around here can't seem to find a way to explore topics for the sake of a discussion, and this place isn't really growing, and we aren't likely to have a crop of new members anytime soon....

I suppose I am just about done with the whole thing. I don't see any point, trying to make things interesting, trying to delve into topics in a meaningful way, or putting my sincere thoughts out there, taking the time to really think about things, and then pose them in a way that will cause people to engage.

Starting to look like a big waste of time. Might just decide to skip it, altogether. Find something else to keep my mind stimulated.

Going to have to ponder that a bit, and make up my mind.

Hey, I don't mind discussions.. and I don't even mind arguing when we disagree. It's just that we would have to choose a topic that we are both interested in. I do not like feigning interest.

Well, all things being equal, at least we wouldn't be at each other's throats. You have come back after being absent for quite a while, .. that is what I meant. Now that you are back, you are kinda', maybe, looks like, should be, a veteran SooNetter. If you want to bury the hatchet, that would be good, .... just not in my skull please, .....

That's for sure! I know several individuals who posted a few times but were new to the public discussion thing, and when they were attacked they left, never to show up again. Sad commentary on who we are when hiding behind anonymity

I signed up to Soonet months before moving to town from the Niagara Region. When I introduced myself as someone moving to the Sault, the response was welcoming. Nice.

I don't sense that here anymore. Not for a very long time.

That's okay Huggy, I didn't make the list either. lol But to answer the question. Why I quit posting so often, is because things just became too "nasty" here, alot. Barry has been doing well curtailing the urge he must have to hit the "banned" button lately. There have been two on-going threads that have become "bitter". I did want to respond to each, however, I really didn't have the time or energy to spend "defending" my position. Doesn't mean that I can't or wont defend my position, just means that 'I'll pick my battles". Back to Barry, you nearly qualified for wings with both of those threads.
