The Acer would be the faster of the two. The added memory will beef up the speed quite a bit. I also agree with FreeBeer about going with the Acer as the more reliable choice.

The acer is by far a better setup. Best best is to configure it as cheap as possible ( ram and hdd) and upgrade them yourself for considerably cheaper with better warranty on it.
