It used to be that when a MAJOR event occurred it was considered breaking news. Now it seems everything gets treated as breaking news. To my mind someone winning a tennis tournament is not important enough to be called breaking news. The term has lost its sense of urgency.

There's quite an irony here.

Who would you expect to tell the truth better?? Media that must fight for the consumer's dollar, with every attention getting trick they know?? Or a state supported institution like the CBC??

PS, CBC is no big supporter of government, regardless!!!

Networks like Fox News and CNN report the very same stories every other major news channel reports. The difference is how they sensationalize the stories; how they ride certain stories for ratings. So it's not that they don't report the news, it's that they report it too much, all in an attempt to get viewers, and thus advertising dollars.

CBC is a joke, and the fact it is ran by the government is the punchline.

Nope, it wasn't that simple. He quoted a media interpretation of someone's feelings after they got into trouble, as if it was the whole truth.

So the thing to do (if you want to do it right) is to approach him in person, privately and deal with it manno a manno. The purpose of walking out on someone is to make a public statement. Using shame in front of the entire congregation. That is just not right. It's harsh.
