Default Another reason Apple is losing out

If you have an Iphone 6, and get it repaired by a 3rd party tech, and not an authorized Apple repair person, Apple disables your phone through its software. Nasty!

Never bought any Apple products, never will. Another nail in the coffin.

Never bought any Apple products either but I don't see this as a nail in the coffin.

Their justification, or explanation, makes perfect sense. With things like apple pay it's good to know they take security seriously. The two articles posted spin it one way but I prefer the spin Apple is putting on it.

If your Iphone gets stolen it would be reassuring to know someone doesn't just have to replace the fingerprint reader to get access to your sensitive information stored in the phone.

Many companies wish they would be Apple:

On February 11, Apple will pay shareholders of record a quarterly dividend of $0.52 per share, but investors must have had settled ownership of the company's stock by Monday February 8 in order to qualify. Apple will pay out $2.898 billion in dividends on its outstanding shares for the quarter

Market Cap As of May 2015 $741.8 Billion
    Sales $199.38 B

    Keep on dreaming.
