Well, they could be correct with their conclusions.
However, does it pose a greater or equal risk when compared to:

Reminds me about a study done years ago that told us coffee causes cancer.

So why didn't they do the study in Finland??

If alcohol causes cancer, Russia must have an epidemic, and Muslim countries have no problems with it. Right??

I think almost anything we eat or drink has the potential to cause cancer. That does not mean we should not be eating or drinking.

It almost reminds me of the whole issue on refrigerant fluids being bad for the ozone layer. Those fluids are in a closed loop system and under normal operation never leave the system...

Part of that problem was a lot of folks being casual with it, and, when the fridge or AC was junk they just vented it.

I remember a study done that said engine oil caused cancer. Well, sure it did, in mice, after six months of living in the stuff up to their bellies!!!

The refrigerant is in fluid form until it is compressed. The only way it will vent is if there is a leak on the compression portion of the loop.
Junk fridges or ac being disposed off would not lead to gasses escaping.

The refrigerant is in gaseous form, I hope you mean till it is compressed to a fluid. But then, I'm pretty sure it comes in fluid for under pressure, to the filling station

As to gas escaping, when I sawed up a fridge for parts 40 years ago, the gas sure as heck escaped!!!

Studies such as this are always slanted due to chosen test methodology. As Barry mentioned with mice subjected to oil day after day developing cancer. I find Canadians are the worst offenders at this type of testing.

Cancer seems to thrive in an acidic body, so anything that causes your bloods ph to drop below 7 or whatever its supposed to be will cause all kinds of disease and pains.. doctors won't tell us this because if people knew how to eat properly they would be out of business as the pill pushers they are. The only doctors we would need would be for surgery..

How to test blood pH level

Saliva pH test: It is one of the fastest and simplest tests for measuring blood pH level. However, it is not the most accurate. Before taking the test, you should wait at least two hours after eating. Depending on the food you eat, it can increase or decrease your blood pH level. You should also do more than one test per day to get a better idea of where your blood pH is at. To do the saliva pH test, go buy the pH paper test strip at your local drug stores and health food stores and follow the directions on the package. You can also buy it online.
Urine pH test: This test works similar to the saliva pH test, but it tests urine instead of saliva. The pH test strip for testing urine is the same as the saliva pH test strip. For best result, do the test in the morning after your first trip to the bathroom. For the afternoon and evening test, you should wait a few hours after eating before doing them. To buy pH test strips for urine, visit this online store.
Blood pH test: This test is not as convenient as the saliva and urine pH test, but it is usually more accurate. To do the blood pH test, you will need to visit your doctor and get your blood drawn.
