    Default Flashing Lights

Here's a good question about school buses and flashing lights.

Just like any other bus, they have to come to complete stop at railroad crossings. They usually put their vehicle hazard lights on when they do, and those are flashing lights.

The school bus on the back has a warning sign on it that says "Do not pass when lights are flashing".

So if you are driving with a car on the left lane, and the school bus is on the right lane, and they are at an intersection with their 4 flashing hazard lights on, can you keep going in your lane and pass the bus?

No. Only on a divided hwy can you continue to drive on.
