Green New Deal: Ocasio-Cortez aims to make air travel obsolete, aid those ‘unwilling’

In what may be the most far-reaching proposal to ever be considered in Congress, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., unveiled her "Green New Deal" on Thursday -- a government-led overhaul of virtually every aspect of American life that would guarantee a host of taxpayer-covered benefits for all and phase out fossil fuels.

Along the way, her office says the plan would aim to make air travel obsolete, upgrade or replace every building in America to ensure energy efficiency and give economic security even to those "unwilling" to work.

No idea why any politician would even consider putting this forward. It's madness that outdoes the former USSR at the height of it's communist structure.

Does she have any idea how many buildings there even are in the USA? lol
And who would do the work on those buildings if you can get economic security if you are "unwilling to work". Nobody would go to work anymore.

Trump is going to win 99.9% of the votes in 2020 if they keep going like this. He will not even have to try to win.

Unless the Reps can put a credible candidate forward, we will continue to see more of the same. Both parties are pandering to the fringes with the majority of the people left in the middle looking for representation.


Ocasio-Cortez knows the current political landscape though. pander, promise and never be held accountable because the population is too lazy to invest more than 30 seconds into their vote.


People only want to hear what they want to hear. It doesn't matter if it is attainable or even reasonable.



Her plan would put everyone to work rebuilding the country, and even have far reaching effects of laying waste to the third world to produce all the materials. We could just print more money to pay for it all, and in the end 25% would vote for it because she isn't trump, 25% would vote against it because she isn't trump, and 50% wouldn't vote at all because the line was too long/it was too cold/it was too hot/one vote doesn't count/the russians fixed the election anyway

Well, let's see what the Democrats have been producing as candidates so far:

- Warren aka Pocahontas: certified liar, finally admitted to it. She thinks Trump will be locked up by 2020.
- Ocasio Cortez: obviously out for lunch with her proposals.
- Omar: Clearly a whiff of anti-Antisemitism in her agenda.

The other Democrats are subscribing to one of those.
