    Did you think this was the first time this ever happened in Belgium Speedy? This has been going on ever since 1830.
    Only an American would make a big deal out of it, thinking the country is doomed.

    Sounds like one of two things is going on

    1) Ethiopia is being paranoid, and might have believed the soldiers were trying to contact the group.

    2) The Americans are fostering some sort of underhandedness against the Ethiopian government.

    It's actually #3, but the American does not seem to know much about this subject. Ethiopia is an ally of the USA, trying to combat militant Islam in their region.
