I think if it is a biblical based play it should be [img]/ubbthreads/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif[/img]

er ah, not if you are going to scare them half to death..
I can think of many things that are not suitable for children in the Bible. Course, I should add, I have not seen the play. I imagine though, that they make heaven and hell the focus of the message.

Jackie.....I have never seen the play, but when we were setting up the stage area last night there was a couple of people there that has seen it and been in it that said NO it's not for little kids...will know more today when we go and actually read the play.....but everybody that I have talked to says that it is really good, and you dont want to miss it......everytime it has played here in the past their has not been an empty seat....

That's what I thought. They scare the beans out of you.
COurse, I think that's okay. After all, people go to horror flicks all the time for entertainment. And this is real...

yes it is real.....and yes their are demons and the devil in it just like there are angels......but for little kids say 8 or 9 and down, I dont know about that.....parents have to use there own judgement.......and what they feel is right for their children.......

Hmmm...tomorrow is a busy day for us. Church, then a fellowship lunch, then the Life Chain at 2:30. I'll see if I can line up a sitter. It's hubby's b-day tomorrow as well. Monday nights we take Growing Kids God's Way, and Tuesday nights the kids are in Awana, so tomorrow is our only night to go. Hopefully we will make it.

I went to see the show this evening. My congratulations to all of the congregation that played a role in this thing......job very well done. I was impressed and enjoyed it immensely.

As for kids, if they are of school age and have had exposure to religion and heaven and hell, I'd see no problem with them attending. I saw young kids at the show. I think the most profound impact of the play will be felt by those under 12.

We went too. We were totally amazed and impressed aswell. It was very moving. My oldest child is 7, and if she watched it, she would NEVER sleep in her own bed again. LOL I'm glad I left her in the nursery. I guess it depends on the child.

I don't allow my kids to any adult programming, so they've never seen anything scary on TV. (except maybe Barney, he's pretty scary. LOL)

My wife and I (and the ENTIRE Cast and Production crew) want to thank all that attended.
The roles each of us played had a profound impact on us. We are so greatful that the Lord chose each of us to bring His word to you through the drama Heavens Gates and [censored] Flames.
Many people gave thier lives to Jesus tonight. People of ALL ages!!.. As performers in the drama, we had no idea that they had to turn people away because of no more seating. They even filled the balconys!!!... WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWOWW!!!!
We have 5 kids... one who lives outta town, married and 2 kids... the other lives here but with her mother...
3 of OUR kids gave thier hearts to Jesus tonight!!...
GOD IS AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would encourage those that have not seen this drama to come out Monday or Tuesday

Please don't start that in here, there are plenty of other threads to do that in. If you went and seen for yourself you would not post such comments...
