From the Toronto Star:

A slippery slope??

Tightly controlling who is invited in and what questions can be asked and who they can be asked of does not strike me as the hallmarks of an open democracy. There has already been much made of the problems getting info through the Freedom of Information Act of material that should be easily obtained. Now this.I'm sorry but nobody can convince me this is a good thing for Canada....it smacks of being a lesser version of the media control in totaliterian countries and paranoia. If conservatives can label various changes a "slippery slope" then liberals have equal right to label this an even more dangerous one.And it should set off warning bells in Canadians. Can we say TASS lite?
