Ok Kelbear. you should be a doctor then, and I would rush to you as a patient! I did fight for almost a year. Figured out that I was waisting time because there was NO way she was signing the papers for the MGB. So I had the RNY. At least I had something done to help myself. All be it that i'm in some discomfort now, I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. Plus, you don't know my medical background.. there are other things leading to my pain they just all decide to flare up at once. Why are you looking down upon my descision to make myself a healthier person? You should be supportive, like you expect everyone else to be of you.

I am not putting down your decision...I am just upset that you couldn't have your OWN option... I am peeved at the doctors here... yours isn't the only one not wanting to sign for the MGB.. I am sure you will be better off in the end.. I appoligize for making it seem that I am coming down on you... but I am not... I am just mad at the ignorant doctors here...

I was pissed too. I did all the work for it.. tried to explain to her.. and nope.. she sure wouldn't. So I figured, the RNY is better than no surgery at all.

It took me months to get my doc to sign. I brought her the manual for the mini and filled out the forms for her. Still waiting for ohip but I am learning patience..

Congrats to all who have had this life changing procedure regardless of which one you had! I am sooo ready for it!!

not to sound negative because I'm all for any type of procedure that helps people lead a normal life but that is an advertisement for the surgery not an article.

What makes it an advertisement vs. an article?

And it says that where in the article? or sorry... advertisement... cause I am not seeing that. Anyway.. it doesn't really matter what it is.. it's for informational purposes anyway, whether the doctor paid for it or not.

You have some learning to do about weight loss. Crash diets and will power fail (statistically) 98% of the time. The MBG is the best thing since sliced bread. I am 10 months out, and have lost 128 pounds and feeling GREAT!!!

They sure do!! the body will respond by gaining the wieght back when you return to "normal diet" and adding another ten pounds for insurance.
