here's a pickle for somebody - 1994 mazda mx3

how can i open the hood on a 94 mazda mx3 if the hood release cable IS BROKEN / NOT ATTACHED!!

yes thats right....when i pull the cable from inside....the whole cable comes out...yea if i wanted to i can pull out all 6 feet or so of it.

any thoughts would be great...it is a car that im looking to buy privately...but would like to have a look at the motor...hard to do with a hood in my way

haha, take it to a mechanic.. lol, maybe Mazda would know how to open it up if no one else could... might have to lift it up and try and pry the release from holding the hood down, from the bottom of the car..

Some have an emergency release, I know my pickup does.
