    Default Robertson's Continuing Slide

" Former 2nd Vice President of the 15 Million strong Southern Baptist Convention said he is calling his Church, First Southern Baptist of Buena Park and all Evangelicals to boycott CBN and The 700 Club, since Pat Robertson has endorsed Rudy Giuliani for President.

Drake said there is a special nationwide prayer meeting daily to pray that Robertson will "repent and return to his first love" especially concerning the unborn and the homosexual agenda in America."

Can you tell me why Roberston would endorse Guiliani? It's not as if there are no pro-life republican candidates out there. I don't get that guy.

Thompson just got the endorsement of the National Right to Life org.

I think Robertson is so convinced Rudy is the only guy that can beat Hillary, and a President Hillary is Robinson's worst nightmare, that he is betting on who he perceives as the strongest horse (though not necessarily the 'horse' that best fits his views).

Abortion is evil. A President Hillary is a worse evil, in his views.

No politician is going to change abortion.

Unless his name is Nehemiah Scudder.

    Ron Paul would:
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body"> I am also the prime sponsor of HR 300, which would negate the effect of Roe v Wade by removing the ability of federal courts to interfere with state legislation to protect life. This is a practical, direct approach to ending federal court tyranny which threatens our constitutional republic and has caused the deaths of 45 million of the unborn. -- Ron Paul</div></div>

Ron Paul has good intentions in this respect, but let's be realistic; the guy is going nowhere.

"Roe v Wade" will eventually fall because it is terrible adjudication, and for no other reason. George W. Bush has done a magnificent job of putting 'original meaning' constitutional constructionists on the Supreme Court over the last six years.

"Roe v Wade" was a hideous creation of an activist supreme court; it will soon die the death it so richly deserves. When that abominable house of cards falls, watch others follow.

Much of the left accuses ther Christian right of controlling cCongress and being a major force behind the election of Dubya.

So why hasnt Roe v Wade been overturned yet?

    Political expediency.

Politicians are all the same. Once they get into power, they realize that all the moral strength in the world can't stand up to "democracy".
''Our culture has accepted two huge lies: The first is that if you disagree with someone’s lifestyle, you must fear them or hate them. The second is that to love someone means you agree with everything they believe or do. Both are nonsense. You don’t have to compromise convictions to be compassionate.''

All the moral strength in the world did well against monarchy, didn't it?
