black friday shopping?

Did anybody else head across for shopping today? It was my first time going across on "black friday" and I was really surprised, there was NO wait on the bridge, we didn't stop until we hit customs, and lineups were not bad at all! I was almost let down, expecting this crazy busy shopping day. lol stores had lots of people, but everyone was friendly and seemed happy, it was not what I was expecting.

Had a great time, and hot some great sales!

I went across today with the kids, no line on the bridge was a plus. I went over late I think. I got to Walmart around 10:30a and couldn't find the two items I went there for. Ended up getting one at a higher price, but still cheaper than here. I might do it again next year, earlier and minus the kids.

We were at walmart at 5:00 AM and it was nuts..waited in line in the cold to get in, and once inside it was a zoo..you couldn't move in the place..not surprised you didn't find what you were looking for because there were hundreds of people who got an early start

it was "early" for me and we didn't go across until 10:30ish lol

I didn't go looking for anything in particular, but got some good stuff.

Its a shame that Soo Michigan didnt have some of the stores that Traverse City has.

I decided I wanted to do the "Black Friday" thing this year. I told my husband Thursday that I was going over at 5:00. We decided to go over on Thursday, had a nice dinner, got a room at the Casino with a Jacuzzi and got up to go shopping for 5:00 am.

I got some decent deals, nothing really to write home about except a $48.88 leather jacket and a couple of things for my sons which were less than 1/2 price. At 5:00 am JC Penny's had lineup 30 people long. They opened at 4:00 this year.
We went to walmart too, but I didnt' find much that I wanted there.

Had to laugh at Crappy Tire's a night to forget....they complain that people will head over by the busload if they close on boxing day...but hey they were open this last weekend and where was everybody....Traverse City and Birch Run....Deep discounts at Canadian Tire....ya sure....

I picked up a half gig memory card for my camera for $5.99 so that was ok.

I got a 2 gig for my camera for 12 bucks.
